Jane Choi Weekly is a start up fashion company based in CA that manufactures the season-limited clothes. Every month this company releases new items. I conceptualized and created new brand assets including logo, style guide, packaging design, clothing hang tags and labels for this new fashion startup. I also produced 40+ illustrations including fashion, spot, map, packaging patterns for new items and postings on blog and merchant website.
The client requested handmade labels with a characterized portrait of her family and the intricate floral pattern. These hand tags are being used on the various garments that her company sells. Both floral pattern and portraits are painted with acrylic paint to give handmade feeling.
This floral pattern art is the extended version of the pattern that was used for Jane Choi Weekly's Hang tags. Client wanted a wildflower atmosphere, and I added accent with the pink Hibiscus flower for rich color tones. I painted all flowers and leaves with acrylic painting s and then photoshoped for making pattern.
This collection of fashion illustrations were released over several months. They display the client wearing various garments sold by her boutique. These illustrations were used in advertisements, and basic sketches were used for a measuring guide on her shopping website.
These illustrations were used in the monthly published articles of Jane Choi Weekly blog. Each illustration represents a place that she traveled to. Although it was painted digitally, I used a marker-style brush because the client wanted a more watercolor feel.
For Jane Choi Weekly fashion company, I created two map illustrations of Oahu and LA.
01. LA Map
The LA map has landmarks that represent one of the client's favorite places in LA, and she requested this map be painted digitally by using gauche feeling brushes. 02.Oahu Map
The Ohau map is a sequel travel map I created for Jane Choi Weekly's blog. All landmarks drawn represent the client's favorite places in Oahu. I used the same Hibiscus flower that I created for her floral box design.
